This June I spent 3 weeks in Springfield, MO. There at our headquarters for Assemblies of God World Missions, new missionaries received 2 weeks of training and veteran missionaries engaged in 2 weeks of renewal. I enjoyed meeting the new Missionaries and Missionary Associates and am encouraged by their hearts for sharing the Gospel in Europe as well as their energy and enthusiasm to go on this new endeavor.
For me the entire time I was there felt like a wonderful, huge reunion! I've previously been in the Balkans and Asia-Pacific with AGWM as well as helping from time to time in Latin America. So I'm privileged to know people and have friends pretty much around the globe.
Beginning this new season in missions, even though it's my third time, I had the honor of being commissioned to go... or in my case re-commissioned. A very special service was conducted wherein each mission had people in leadership pray for us individually. My dear friends and Regional Directors, Paul and Angie Trementozzi prayed over me. Very meaningful! It's such a blessing to be with like-minded people whose main purpose is to tell people about Jesus so that "none would perish but have eternal life."
From that point on I'm daily calling and visiting pastors and churches in an effort to raise monthly support in order to return to the field as my career. This is my #1 prayer request right now. I'll be heading back in October so it's imperative to have all of my support raised to do the work God has called me to there. This what we call "itineration." It too has been full of joy and a wonderful reunion. I've visited many places who generously supported me in the past . . . and also many pastors who were former students of mine!
I'm grateful for prayers, providence and partnership as I write this.
